My internship at Polka Magazine was a chance to put into practice the skills I've acquired through my degree and previous experiences. From interviewing and pitching story ideas to writing articles and keeping up with the latest photography news, it enabled me to dive into the professional world of arts and photography.

Passionate about the field myself, this internship was an opportunity to build up my understanding of this creative world, as well as discovering and contributing to the making of a magazine in its entirety.

Being part of a paper magazine gave the appetite of creating an actual objet, from scratch. Weeks of preparation, pitching and selecting subjects with the editorial team, illustrating the latest news in photos, as well as interviewing photographers or actors of the photographic world.

But it was also a space where I got to explore my creativity, through different formats. I took part in the curation of new content, for our instagram page (bringing back Les pépites alongside the Communication Manager), or for the Polka Factory with the upcoming summer exhibition. We also brought back the Interview Flash, and other new concepts.
